Alcohol Analysis

Alcohol Analysis

Ethyl Alcohol, also known as Ethanol, is a chemical compound with a clear and colorless state and also has its own unique odor. Ethyl alcohol is used in all alcoholic beverages. The sugar found in plants and fruits is fermented and produced. Methyl alcohol is produced by dissiating wood. But methyl alcohol is a lethal poison. It is used in the production of counterfeit liquor because it is easy to obtain and cheap.

It is found in other volatile compounds that add value to alcohol, except for ethyl alcohol during natural alcohol dissiation. These compounds can be called volatile acids, aldehydes, high alcohols, esters and amil alcohols. These compounds are an indication of both the quality and naturalness of alcohol.

Although methyl alcohol is an indicator of fake alcohol in alcohol analysis, it can be said that being below certain values in volatile compounds is proof that it is a false indicator of counterfeit alcohol.

Ethyl-Methyl Alcohol analysis is performed in our laboratory. With this method, we can determine whether the drinks are fake according to the results of ethyl alcohol and methyl alcohol.
